Lucy Meets a Sasquatch
This is a whimsical story of a little girl meeting a Sasquatch while berry picking in Alaska. Lucy is not one bit afraid of the Sasquatch and asks him for directions on how to find her family. She’s not afraid of him because he has an endearing overbite and like her, loves to eat berries. In the end, she names him, Sassie. She can’t wait to see Sassie again and have more adventures!
This is a great book for early readers to learn about the northern boreal forest and the creatures who live there. It will also introduce readers to berry picking, a happy and productive activity which brings families closer together while learning respect for the land.
